🏗️ Hosted aboard the legendary Battleship Massachusetts
The Bristol County Technical Rescue Team, in conjunction with MATRS, proudly invites all Massachusetts Tech Rescue Regions to participate in this year’s challenge is an all-out skills gauntlet set within the iron hull of Big Mamie.
Crews will be tested in confined space scenarios and rope that demand grit, control, and tight coordination - from blind navigation to vertical entries. For those looking to go deeper, an optional dive rescue element will also be available. More details to come, but we wanted to get the word out early to support regional planning.
We’ll kick things off the evening before — Wednesday, September 17 with a night of learning, preparation, and camaraderie at a nearby location.
And in the spirit of the Battleship Massachusetts, which famously fired the first American 16-inch shell in WWII, we borrow the legendary call: “Play Ball.”
As iron sharpens iron, this ship forges the finest.
